Lesson 11 — What Makes Analytical Writing Sophisticated
Students improve contentions, supporting arguments, topic sentences, evidence integration and analysis of authorial choices.

Lesson 12 — How to Brainstorm an Analytical Response
Students unpack an essay topic, generate relevant examples, identify patterns, develop supporting arguments and construct a contention.

Lesson 13 — How to Write an Analytical Response
Students use their planning to construct introductions, analytical body paragraphs and conclusions before editing and refining their work.
