Complete teaching resources for Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975), directed by Peter Weir — a VCE English and EAL text.
This collection includes a complete 14-lesson unit, all 14 lessons available separately, and a set of four listening tasks for EAL students.
The Complete Unit explores historical and social context, film techniques, characters, relationships and six major themes before progressing to analytical interpretation, essay planning and sustained analytical writing. It includes editable PowerPoint slideshows, student worksheets, sample answers, student and completed scene-analysis charts, and 24 analytical essay topics.
The listening-task set develops listening and note-taking skills while extending students’ understanding of relevant historical, social, artistic and cinematic contexts. It includes four audio recordings, four 20-mark student worksheets, sample answers and marking guidance.
The Complete Unit and individual lessons are available with an Individual Teacher Licence or English/EAL Faculty Licence — One Campus. The listening-task set is licensed for use by the English/EAL faculty at one school campus and is available through the school purchase-order process.
