'Gurrumul' — Lesson 01: Introducing 'Gurrumul' - Viewing a Constructed Life Story

This individual lesson is part of the Lesson Ready unit on Gurrumul (VCE English and EAL).

Lesson 01 introduces students to Gurrumul as a constructed representation of a real life. Students examine how the opening sequence shapes first impressions, identify the different people and perspectives contributing to Gurrumul’s story, and explore how the documentary gradually complicates the audience’s understanding of him.
