Lesson Ready listening tasks provide contextual material supporting the study of selected VCE English and EAL texts.

Each listening task explores a relevant historical, social or cultural topic that extends students’ understanding beyond information presented directly in the set text.

What is included?

Each listening task package contains:

• a professionally produced audio recording
• a student worksheet containing 20 marks of listening-comprehension questions
• sample answers
• a detailed marking guide

The questions draw on information from throughout the recording and include a range of one-, two- and three-mark responses.

Individual listening task: $59.00 AUD

Complete set of four listening tasks for one text: $199.00 AUD

Prices provide licensed use by the English/EAL faculty at one school campus.

Protected school access

Listening tasks are not available as instant downloads through the public store. They are supplied only to verified schools through a school purchase-order process.

This restricted process helps protect the materials from direct student access and allows schools to consider using them for assessment purposes.

Each school remains responsible for determining whether a task is suitable for its students and complies with its assessment policies and current VCAA requirements.

How to order

Complete the school-order request form below and select the listening task or complete set required.

If your school has already issued a purchase order, enter the purchase-order number in the form. If your school requires a quotation or invoice before raising a purchase order, select the relevant option and leave the purchase-order number blank.

Lesson Ready will review the request and contact the nominated staff member by email with the next steps. Submission of the form does not confirm the order; the order is confirmed once an invoice has been issued.

Detailed task topics are provided to verified school staff upon request to help protect the integrity of the materials.

Digital delivery and licensing

Listening-task files are delivered digitally to the nominated teacher.

The materials may be used and adapted by the English/EAL faculty at the licensed school campus. They must be stored securely and must not be publicly uploaded, shared with another school or distributed to students outside the intended teaching or assessment process.
